The press conference mentioned: Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments, reported to The State Council to issue the "2024-2025 Energy Conservation and carbon Reduction Action Plan" to deploy the current key work of energy conservation and carbon reduction. At the same time, in order to further tap the potential of energy conservation and carbon reduction in key areas and key industries, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments, has formulated special action plans for different fields and industries, and the first batch of documents for four key industries, including steel, oil refining, synthetic ammonia and cement, has been issued. In the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will work with relevant parties to vigorously promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in the whole society, focusing on four aspects of work.

Steel, oil refining, synthetic ammonia, cement and other industries are important industries in the national economy, and these industries have great potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction. To this end, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments, has issued four special action plans for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industry, clarifying specific goals and implementation paths. At the same time, the National Development and Reform Commission will also carry out in-depth energy efficiency diagnosis of key energy-using units, vigorously promote energy-saving and carbon-reducing transformation and energy-using equipment renewal, and continue to promote energy-saving and carbon-reducing work in key areas such as industry, construction, and transportation.
